Marshal Support for VMWare

Marshal confirms that we will support customers running Marshal Base products, namely MailMarshal SMTP v6 and above, WebMarshal v3.5 and above, MailMarshal Exchange v5.0 and above and Security Reporting Center v2.1 and above on the supported Operating Systems for those products in a VMware virtual machine environment.

Marshal will provide unqualified support for the Marshal base products named above running in a VMware virtual environment in an identical manner as with Marshal base products running on any other major x86 based systems without initially requiring reproduction of issues on native hardware. Should Marshal suspect that the virtualization layer is the root cause of an incident, the customer will be required to contact the appropriate VMware support provider to resolve the VMware issue.

While Marshal products are expected to function properly in a VMware virtual environment, there may be performance implications which can invalidate Marshal’s typical sizing and recommendations.
