Once established, MailMarshal Secure is designed to operate autonomously without the need for ongoing human intervention. This automation includes the ability to automatically collect certificates, apply preconfigured policies for encryption, and expire and replace certificates without requiring any administration.

Using LDAP, MailMarshal Secure can automatically maintain lists of encrypted communication partners and access updates such as certificate stores and certificate revocation lists.
