WebMarshal adds proactive protection against virus infection. Stop viruses BEFORE they reach your network

The risk to networks from viruses is not new but it is still a major issue.
A computer virus is malicious software that copies itself from computer to computer. Viruses usually attempt destructive actions, like deleting files, changing a computer's behavior, and sending huge volumes of email. Virus infection can quickly bring a local network to a stop.
Anti-virus protection on user workstations and productivity servers is an essential step in protecting against infection. But why depend on this "after the fact" method? With WebMarshal, you can stop viruses before they get to your network.
Anti-virus scanning with WebMarshal allows you to check for and stop web-borne viruses at the network boundary. This capability provides an added layer of protection beyond what desktop scanners can provide.
WebMarshal can use a number of anti-virus products through special high-throughput DLL interfaces. These include McAfee for Marshal, as well as Norman, Sophos, Panda, and the Symantec Anti-Virus Scan Engine. You can deploy more than one scanner to give extra confidence.
WebMarshal Reports give you the ability to review blocked viruses, and to contact and educate your users who may be browsing to unsafe sites.
The McAfee for Marshal solution provides integrated licensing and a customized upgrade component. Marshal also provides licensing for the Norman solution.
For more information about these scanners, see Options.
Other supported scanners are licensed through their respective vendors.
